Chrysogonum virginianum (Gold Star) – - This eastern North American native is a wonderful ground cover for a shade to part sun location. Many yellow flowers are produced in spring with occasional flowers later. They spread by above ground shoots into a nice patch. Happiest in moist soil in light shade. (6”h x 20”w) W, 3.5” - $5.00

Convallaria majalis ‘Double’ - This selection of Lily of the Valley is slow growing with double bells. Thanks to Ruth Sheppard for this one. Best in rich, moist, well drained soil in shade. (6”h x spreading) W, 3.5” - $5.50

Convallaria majalis ‘Rosea’ Convallaria majalis ‘Rosea’ - This is the pink form of lily of the valley. It forms a beautiful ground cover of erect leaves with blush-pink, fragrant bells in June. Best in shade in rich, moist, well drained soil. Easy. (6"h x spreading) W, 1 quart-$6.00

Cornus canadensis- (Bunchberry) Cornus canadensis- (Bunchberry) - Our own native woodlander can make a gorgeous carpet of green leaves with pretty, white flowers in spring and red berries in late summer. Cymbalaria hepaticifolia – - This kenilworth ivy is much more contained then other species. The distinctive leaves do, indeed, resemble Hepatica, with small, white snapdragon like flowers. May need some winter protection in coldest areas. Any well drained soil, fertile soil in part shade. (2"h x 10"w) 3.5" - $5.00

Cymbalaria muralis ‘alba' – Cymbalaria muralis ‘alba' – - A white selection of kenilworth ivy. Nice in a half shady spot where it can sprawl. Well drained, fertile soil is best. White flowers are produced in abundance all summer long. (3"h x spreading) 3.5" - $5.00

Cymbalaria muralis ‘Carla Brown’- Cymbalaria muralis ‘Carla Brown’- - This selection of kenilworth ivy is hardy and quite pretty. This sprawler requires some room in a half shady spot (even a hanging basket). Well drained, fertile soil is best. Pretty purple and white flowers are produced in abundance all summer long. Cypripedium parviflorum v. pubescens – Cypripedium parviflorum v. pubescens – - The yellow lady-slipper is a garden treasure. The plant forms clumps over time with most stems carrying the large yellow slippers above the foliage. Requires a moist, well drained, humus-rich soil in light shade.
