Calamintha grandiflora – - This member of the mint family makes a tuft of leaves with spikes of pink, tubular flowers in summer. An attractive and easy addition to the rock garden. Give it a sunny place in well drained, but not dry, fertile soil with a touch of extra lime. (12"h x 10"w) RG, 3.5" - $5.00

Callirhoe involucrata Callirhoe involucrata - From a thick root sprout vine-like branches. The flowers, which develop in summer, are a gorgeous red/purple. They are called "wine cups" in the Western States. Prefers a dry, sunny spot in rich soil that is well drained. (6"h x 5 feet) 3.5" -$5.00              Out of Stock

Calluna vulgaris ‘Foxii Nana’ - This plant is a miniature heather grown more for its tight mound of leaves than for the pink blooms which are scarce. It will be happiest in a moist, acidic soil in full sun. ( 4”h x 5”w) RG, T, 3.5” - $6.00.

Calluna vulgaris ‘Robert Chapman’ – - The heathers prefer a humus-rich, acidic soil in full sun. This cultivar has very attractive foliage which is golden in the spring, orange in the fall, and finally turning to red with the hard frosts. The soft purple flowers are a bonus. Caltha leptosepala Caltha leptosepala - This alpine "marsh marigold" from the Western United States has white flowers. It prefers a sunny site which is very wet, at least during the spring months. These young plants will require a year to establish. (10"h x 10"w) B, 2.5"-$5.00

Campanula aff, fenestrellata – - This species is described as a compact form of C. gargantica and that appears to be what I have. This is a wonderful, small bellflower with many blue, star-shaped flowers on short stems. It spreads slowly into a nice clump. Very well drained soil in a cool, partial sun site. Should not be allowed to dry out completely. (5”h x 6”w) 3.5” - $5.50

Campanula betuliafolia Campanula betuliafolia - As the name implies, the leaves look like those of the birch. From a clump of these leaves come clusters of large bells which are usually white with a touch of pink. Well drained soil in full sun. Armenia. (6"h x 7"w) RG, 2.5"-$5.00

Campanula chamissonis (C. pillosa) Campanula chamissonis (C. pillosa) - This choice beauty is amenable to our climate. Rosettes of leaves slowly spread and produce good-sized upright blue bells. Campanula garganica - Campanula garganica - - This bellflower is particularly nice sprawling over a wall. A tufted plant with 6 to 10 inch stems covered with blue, star-like flowers. Prefers sun and a lean soil which does not dry out completly. (6"h x 15" w), RG, 3.5"- $5.00

Campanula porcharskyana Campanula porcharskyana - This easy bellflower has stems that splay out from the crown. Starry blue flowers are amply displayed along the stems in summer. May be rampant in soil that is too rich. Easy. ( 6"h x 15"w) 3.5"- $5.00

Campanula pulla Campanula pulla - This choice bellflower slowly forms a mat from stolons. Pendulant bells of a beautiful dark purple are produced in early summer. Demands a neutral, very well drained soil in full sun or light shade. (3"h x 8"w) RG, 3.5" - $5.50

Campanula punctata ‘Rubriflora’ - This is a seed-strain of this lovely species which tends to have darker red spots on white bells. Campanula scheuchzeri – - This clump-forming species is vigorous and very attractive. The blue bells are produced at the top of stems that wave in the breeze. Cotoneaster ‘Tiny’ - I do not have a positive ID on this Cotoneaster but I think it is a C. microphyllus variety. When young, it grows several inches a year. However in lean soil, it stays quite compact. My 5 year old plant is only 5 inches tall by 8” across. It produces a huge crop of red berries. Choice.
