Daphne alpina - I find this Daphne easy to grow. It forms a shrub about 15" tall with white, fragrant flowers produced at the tips of the branches. Plant in any good, well drained garden soil in full sun. ( 15"h x 12"w) 3.5" - $5.00              Out of Stock

Delosperma nubigenum Delosperma nubigenum - The hardiest of the "ice plant" species, this plant will survive our climate with occasional set-backs. Bright yellow flowers are produced in the summer. Delphinium alpestris - This is a wonderful miniature Delphinium I have grown for years although I cannot verify the name. It is a clump-former with good-sized, typical blue Delphinium flowers on 3-5” stems. Requires a scree in full sun. (Sorry – I have only a handful of these – one to a customer). Dicentra peregrina – Dicentra peregrina – - This gem produces beautiful reddish "bleeding-hearts" from a basal clump of greenish-gray leaves. It seems to be cold-hardy but requires careful attention to soil and watering. Try growing in an acidic scree, in a sunny, but not hot place. Keep on the dry side in the fall and winter. Dodecatheon alpinum Dodecatheon alpinum - The flowers are like miniature cyclamen on 6" stems in summer. This beauty comes from the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Needs moisture in the spring but can be drier in the summer. Full sun in rich soil. (8"h x 6"w) RG, 3.5" - $5.50

Dodecatheon denatatum - This shooting star produces white flowers in early summer. Give it a fertile, moist soil in light shade. Native to moist woodland sites in the Northwest. (6"h x 6"w) W, 3.5"- $5.50

Dodecatheon jeffreyi ssp. pygmaeum - This lovely western shooting star features dark lavender flowers on 10” stems. It will be happiest in a well drained yet moist soil in cool sunlight which may dry out in late summer when the plant goes dormant. Seed collected in Siskiyou Co, CA at 6800 feet. This offering – 2 year-old , blooming-size plants. (10”h x 8”w) RG, 2.5" - $5.50, 3.5” - $6.50

Douglasia laevigata (=Androsace laevigata) - This challenging little cushion plant produces rose colored flowers on short stems. In our experience, it appears to be winter hardy but fickle. Douglasia montana (=Androsace montana) - A Rocky Mountain native which forms a cushion of needle-like leaves with pink flowers in late spring. This is a tricky plant to maintain. Try it in a scree with some afternoon shade. (5”h x 4”w) RG, T, 2.5” - $5.50              Out of Stock

Draba aizoides Draba aizoides - From a small cushion or mat arise bright yellow flowers on short stems in very early spring. This is a great plant for troughs or rock gardens. Needs very well drained soil in full sun. Europe. (4"h x 5"w) RG, T, 2.5" - $5.00

Draba rigida v. bryoides - This Draba makes a dense cushion of tiny rosettes with clusters of yellow flowers on 2-3” stems. We have found this to be quite hardy in the open rock garden. Requires a very well drained soil in full sun. (3”h x 4”w) RG,T, 2.5” - $5.00

Draba sp. Draba sp. - This mystery Draba is a beauty. It forms a tight cushion with numerous yellow flowers held just above. It seems to be quite hardy and will self-sow. Seems to be a very nice form of D. brunifolia. Full sun in rock garden conditions. (2"h x 4"w) RG, T, 2.5"-$5.00

Dracocephalum arguense Dracocephalum arguense - While this species tends to be large for the rock garden, this seed selection remains contained. The gorgeous, dark-blue dragon heads are produced on 8" stems. Best in a rock garden soil in full sun. (8"h" x 14"w) 3.5" - $5.00

Dracocephalum botryoides Dracocephalum botryoides - This "Dragon-head" is attractive in a rock garden. It makes a mound of finely dissected leaves with pinkish/lavender clusters of flowers.
