Mertensia maritima - The leaves of this plant are a beautiful blue-gray color. Procumbent stems produce blue flowers from pinkish buds. This plant is our East Coast native, "Beach mertensia". Microbiota decussata - This evergreen, native to Siberia, is incredibly hardy. In leaf it is similar to arborvitae. It forms a mat about 12” high that spreads to 4 feet wide. Muehlenbeckia axillaris - Called wire plant, this little mat-former is usually modest in habit but can become invasive in perfect conditions. Myosotis rupicola - This alpine version of forget-me-not has the same pretty little blue flowers as the common forget-me-not.
